Karen Tebar (19 September 1964) rides for France and lives in Germany. She is married to Christophe and they have one son, Maxim (2001). She initially tried vaulting at age six at Waiblingen Riding Club in Germany. She then began taking riding lessons at age eight. Her parents Willy and Gerhild Schetter were both riders. She is trained by Jan Bemelmans (national) and Jan Nivelle (personal). She and her husband established their own riding school in 2003. The 10-box professional dressage stable is located in Waiblingen, Germany. She gained French nationality in 2003, a year after she had competed in her first international competition for Germany. She represented France during the 2003, 2005, 2013 and 2015 European Championships, at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens and at the 2006 World Equestrian Games in Aachen.
Her horse Don Luis (2005) is a Hannoverian gelding by Dimaggio x Rubinstein I.
