Ulla Salzgeber (5 August 1958) won the 2009 World Dressage Masters Grand Prix and Grand Prix Special with Herzi. Ulla is one of the most successful German riders of the last decades. She won Olympic team gold and individual bronze in Sydney in 2000, and team gold and individual silver in Athens in 2004. She won team gold and individual bronze at the 1998 World Championships (Rome) as well as in 2002 in Jerez de la Frontera. She won the World Cup title in 2001 and 2002. At European Championships she won four team gold medals (1997, 1999, 2001 and 2003) and two individual gold medals (2001 and 2003) and an individual silver medal in 1999.
In 2013 she won the Grand Prix and Grand Prix Freestyle in Perl (Germany) and came second in the Grand Prix and Grand Prix Special in Stuttgart.
Ulla started off 2015 well with good placings in Neumünster and Dortmund. She won the World Cup Freestyle in Neumünster with Herzruf’s Erbe.
Her current top horse is Herzruf’s Erbe (1999), is a Rheinland-bred gelding by Herzruf.
Sir Simon (2008) is a Westphalian gelding.
