At Axel Johnson Group we like to believe that entrepreneurship with respect for people, planet and profit has the unique capability to change the world for the better. It is the foundation my companies are built on and the main reason we are successful. I have found the same values in the World Dressage Masters, that we will support as a presenting partner for the next 4 years’.
Anthony M. Kies, CEO of the World Dressage Masters is thrilled. ‘The Axel Johnson Group and the Ax:son Johnson family have been an inspiration for us from the moment they became partners of WDM Falsterbo in 2010. This is a major breakthrough and a true milestone for WDM. I’d like to thank Mrs. Antonia Ax:son Johnson and the Axel Johnson Group on behalf of the whole international dressage community.’
John van de Laar, managing director of WDM explains that with the support of the Axel Johnson Group WDM will be able to take some important steps forward. ‘At the start we have defined different strategic scenarios. The one we’re on now is the positive one, so this is really encouraging. Together with Team EXQUIS, Moorland Investments and Moorland Stables, Nürnberger Versicherungsgruppe and Jerich International we have built a fantastic partner base that will guarantee a sustainable future for WDM.
Part of the contribution of the Axel Johnson Group will be donated to WDM Foundation, which raises means to support projects that will contribute to a sustainable development of international dressage. Furthermore WDM Foundation has a social calendar where it selects projects that combine social support with WDM and/or the dressage community.
The official naming and brand mark of the WDM circuit will be changed in
‘World Dressage Masters presented by Axel Johnson Group’. In the brand mark the ‘Founded by Exquis 2008’ was added as a tribute to the initiator of WDM, Exquis.
